Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products chosen by The Jim Henson Company to represent the merchandising business in the UK and Ireland.

The animated pre-school series made its UK and Ireland debut on 12th March 2012 and currently airs every weekday on Nick Jr. It has become an Emmy-nominated and Parents’ Choice Silver Honor TV series.

Dinosaur Train licensees in the UK include TOMY, the global master toy licensee for the brand, and Puffin for publishing products. TOMY will debut new products in 2013, including a range of small, medium and large Dinosaur Train InterAction Figures featuring SmartTalk technology. A range of Dinosaur Train characters and train cars will also be available.

Melissa Segal, SVP Global Consumer Products, The Jim Henson Company, said: “Dinosaur Train has received an enthusiastic response from viewers in the UK and Ireland, and it’s a natural extension to our relationship with Nickelodeon that they lead our consumer products efforts in this region. We have great products from TOMY and Puffin hitting the market in 2013, and we look forward to working with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products to build a robust licensing programme across all categories.”

Dinosaur Train currently has approximately 70 licensees around the world, including VTech Electronics, MegaBrands, Uncle Milton, Pressman Toy Corp and Patch Products in the US.
