Week 50 has proved to be the best performing period in terms of toy sales.
NPD has reported growth in most of the markets it covers for 2016.
Christmas week, week 51, saw sales increase 33% from the same week in 2015, with the two extra shopping days giving a helping hand. France also saw an increase of 29% in the same week.
The reports show that Christmas week was the second largest week of 2016 in terms of sales, second behind the week before.
