Nuremberg unveils ToyAward nominations

The Nuremberg Toy Fair has unveiled the three product nominations in each of the four categories for the 2102 ToyAwards.

The announcement of the winners takes place during the official opening ceremony of the show in Nuremberg on January 31. During the fair the ToyInnovations can be viewed at the InnovationCenter in Hall 4.

The Nominations are:

Category Baby&Infant (0-2 years)

Laugh & Learn Apptivity Case by Mattel
Fisher-Price’s colourful case for iPhone and iPod touch protects the valuable device while being played with.

Mini Micro 3in1 Scooter by Micro Mobility Systems
Mini Micro’s scooter brings adaptability for one-year-olds with a seat fixed to the handlebars, which can be changed for the T-bar when the child gets older.

Activity Dog by Moulin Roty
Moulin Roty’s Activity Dog hides a series of activity toys such as a mirror or a mini toy.

Category PreeSchool (3-5 years)

Regenbogen-Land by AMIGO Spiel + Freizeit
A board game where players must collect the colours of the rainbow and return them. Players act in teams and can only win when joining forces to make the rainbow shine again.

House of Toys Créa’Laby, EGT Leisure
Créa’Laby is more than a traditional blackboard: While one side can be used for writing and drawing with chalk, the magnetic flip side gives much more scope.

Appmates by Spin Master
Appmates by Spin Master combines a free app and colorful Disney Cars on a touch-screen for racing along the highway or stopping at the garage.

Playmobil’s tabletop football arena is set up and ready for action quickly with ‘kick action’ players and a goalkeeper that can be moved with a handle behind the goal. The compact folding case adds extra mobility.

Category Teenager&Family (11 years plus)

Air Swimmers by Wow! Stuff
The helium-filled giant clown fish or shark glides through the home guided by a remote control and mobile tail fins.

Talat by HUCH! & Friends Hutter Trade
Talat stands for the Arab figure 3 and this is the theme for this strategy game. Up to three players move their tokens – towers with three, four and six corners – in three sizes across a multi-dimensional three-part board.

Air Hogs Battle Tracker by Spin Master
The Air Hogs Battle Tracker features an RC Saw Blade helicopter and a radar and rocket base, which detects the helicopter’s position and responds by launching twelve arrows.
