Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) and Sixteen South have signed a deal that will see NVCP represent licensing for Lily’s Driftwood Bay.
Created and Produced by Sixteen South and following the imaginative adventures of six-year-old Lily, the preschool series premiered on Nick Jr. UK in May, where to date it has been watched by over 1.5m viewers. The deal will see NVCP represent all licensing rights for the property within the UK and Ireland.
Lily’s Driftwood Bay is a charming, heartwarming show with a distinctive art style ideal for translating into appealing consumer products. The initial licensing range is expected to focus on soft lines and selective toy opportunities.
Featuring the voice talents of Stephen Fry (QI, The Hobbit), Peter Mullan (Harry Potter, Top of the Lake), Tameka Empson (EastEnders, 3 Non-Blondes), Jane Horrocks (Sunshine on Leith, Absolutely Fabulous), Ardal O’Hanlon (Father Ted, London Irish), Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones, Good Vibrations, Fortitude) and Annette Crosbie (One Foot in the Grave, Hope Springs) Lily’s Driftwood Bay was created by Sixteen South based on an original idea and characters from artist Joanne Carmichael.
The series features characters and environments completely created from objects found washed up on the beach. In addition to Nick Jr. in the UK, the series airs in multiple territories across the world.
