Optimus Prime rolls out for a nationwide tour

As part of Hasbro’s marketing programme, an Optimus Prime truck will be touring across the country this Summer attending a mix of locations and events.

Hasbro has spent the last three months turning a genuine Peterbilt truck into an accurate version of the Optimus Prime truck.

Senior brand manager at Hasbro, Gary Sims, said: “We wanted to create an event for kids and fans to interact with Transformers this Summer, and there is no better way to do that than bringing Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots, to life with a full-scale replica truck.”

In addition to the truck cab, the Optimus Prime experience features an inflatable arena where kids can have a picture taken with Optimus Prime and the other Autobots against a green screen. Visitors will also get to see and play with the latest Transformers Prime toys and licensed products.

Hasbro are partnering with Cartoon Network, the UK broadcaster of the Transformers Prime animated series, to create a microsite for the Truck that will feature games, where Optimus Prime will be touring across the UK, as well as offering prizes.
