Outfit7 extends Talking Tom agreement with Dragon-i

Outfit7 has renewed its agreement with UK-based toy manufacturer Dragon-i for its Talking Tom and Friends brand for a further year.Outfit7-Dragoni300

The deal will enable fans to purchase the Talk Back feature plush for Talking Tom, Talking Angela, Talking Ben and Talking Ginger throughout 2015. Dragon-i’s renewal agreement sees the licensee hold manufacturing and distribution rights to Talking Tom and Friends in select countries in North and South America, Western and Eastern Europe, Africa, South East Asia and the South Pacific.

Angeles Blanco, senior licensing director at Outfit7, said: “Our Talking Tom and Friends animated Talking Back plush has proved very popular with our fans across the world. To meet consumer demand we’re happy to have extended this agreement with Dragon-i and look forward to the year ahead.”

Dave Cave, president of Dragon-I, commented: “We have worked with Outfit7 since the beginning and have shipped over 1m units of the Talking Tom and Friends line globally. We’re incredibly excited about this renewal as it will enable us to be part of the exciting new plans for Talking Tom and Friends in 2015.”

Talking Tom and Friends has extended from a series of apps to a global entertainment franchise while delivering consumer-centric entertainment to its global network of fans. The franchise has a new 3D CGI animated series on the way, a growing licensing programme and video content accumulating over 1.4bn views on YouTube.
