The streaming service will be the exclusive home of titles including Top Gun: Maverick, Halo, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years.

Paramount+, the global streaming service from Paramount, is now available to audiences in the UK & Ireland with more than 8,000 hours of entertainment for the whole family.

The streaming service brings together exclusive originals, blockbuster films and iconic series across every genre from Paramount’s world-renowned brands and production studios, including Showtime, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures.

As part of its ‘Mountain of Entertainment’, Paramount+ will premiere some of the year’s most highly anticipated titles to viewers in the UK and Ireland, including the sci-fi hit Halo, The First Lady, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years and iCarly. The streaming service will also be the home of a selection of new blockbuster films after their theatrical and home entertainment release, including Top Gun: Maverick.

The UK and Ireland are the latest markets to go live as part of the global rollout of Paramount+. The service has launched in the UK & Ireland through a major partnership with Sky and will also launch on Sky platforms in Italy, Germany and Austria in 2022 as part of a new multi-year distribution agreement. Elsewhere, Paramount+ will also debut in Switzerland this year and India in 2023.

“This is a phenomenal year of growth for Paramount+”, said Tom Ryan, president & CEO, Streaming at Paramount. “By the end of the year, we expect to be live in 45 countries with our unbeatable content offering, with a diversified set of major distribution partners.”

Tom added: “The UK and Ireland are key strategic markets in the global rollout of Paramount+ given the broad distribution of our brands across the free-to-air and Pay TV landscape. Our partnership with Sky gives us a strong foothold here and in several other markets where we plan to launch Paramount+ this year. Our differentiated strategy means we are poised to keep bringing the most compelling stories to audiences around the world.”

Paramount+ is available online at and on a wide range of connected TV devices via distribution through Apple, Amazon, Google, Roku and Samsung and more. The service will be available at no extra cost to Sky Cinema subscribers in the UK and Ireland through a standalone app on Sky Glass and Sky Q.

Users can also access Paramount+ for £6.99 per month or £69.90 per year in the UK and €7.99 per month or €79.90 per month in Ireland, after a free seven-day trial.

Thousands of hours of Kids and Family content on the service will include Paramount+ Original series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, Fairly Odd Parents: Fairly Odder, iCarly S1 & S2, the reimagined Rumble and Big Nate. These will join original TV movies including Honour Society, Promposal, Little Wing, Snow Day, Nicole From Last Night and Blue’s Big City Adventure.

Paramount+ will also offer unlimited access to blockbuster movies with new releases like Scream 5, time proven classics such as Grease and Star Trek, and family friendly selections like PAW Patrol: The Movie, Clifford The Big Red Dog and more.
