Parragon and the award-winning educational YouTube channel have partnered up to develop a collection of children’s story and activity books.

Little-Baby-Bum-480Content will be based on the Little Baby Bum nursery rhymes, episodes and cast of characters, whilst balancing both traditional and technological play. Surge Licensing, worldwide licensing agent for El Bebe Productions, brokered the deal.

A limited selection of titles, based on the most highly viewed episodes, will be available from autumn 2016. In spring 2017, Parragon will unveil a broader range of interactive formats, which will include board books, sound books, activity books and more.

Kim Brown, president, North America, Parragon, commented: “Building a relationship with one of the world’s largest online channels presents a tremendous opportunity for Parragon. We’re delighted to be able to combine the sensationally interactive and educational content of Little Baby Bum with our market-leading books and gifts, to inspire and delight both children and their parents across the world.”

With over 5 million YouTube subscribers and 16 million daily views, Little Baby Bum is recognised as number one in the Top 100 YouTube Ranking for education.

Co-founder of El Bebe Productions, Derek Holder, said: “We’re very excited to be launching a series of books with Parragon Books and cannot wait to share their books with our wonderful fans across the world.”

Surge’s president, Mark Freedman, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Parragon Books as our global master publisher. Parragon is incredibly forward thinking and really understands the Little Baby Bum brand and the new digital entertainment landscape especially well. Little Baby Bum is an absolute phenomenon with millennial parents who appreciate the developmental and educational messaging of the series while their pre-school children are consumed with our unique vibrant entertainment through wonderful story telling and nursery rhyme themes.”
