Company is set to host its biggest and most competitive board game championships ever this festive season.
The 28th iteration of the Perudo Championships is set to be an international and highly competitive affair. Players will be making the journey not only from the far corners of the UK but from around the globe, for their chance to be crowned the 2017 Perudo Champion.
The event, organised by Paul Lamond Games, will take place on Friday 10th November at the IET, Savoy Place, London. The players will compete across three rounds. The highest ranked players will progress to the semi-final stage and battle it out for one of the six final table places and the chance to become the Champion of the Dice.
Richard Wells, managing director at Paul Lamond Games, commented: “The Perudo Championship has always been a landmark event in the board games calendar but this year we have taken it to another level due to the commitment and demand from players.”
“Not only is Perudo being played in more homes, bars and universities throughout the UK than ever before, the liar dice game is extremely popular with celebrities across the globe. Stars of stage and screen to sporting legends and world-renowned entrepreneurs such as Stephen Fry, Siena Millar and Sir Richard Branson all have a passion for the game.”
Perudo is a version of liar dice which is part-luck and part-skill. Playing well requires an ability to deceive and also to detect your opponent’s deception. There is no board, no setting-up, and no complicated rules; just guesswork, bluffing and luck.
