Playmobil Collectors Club launches worldwide

Published on: 1st November 2012

Playmobil announced the launch of its first international community for collectors and enthusiasts at the Dream Toys event in London on the 31st October.

The Playmobil Collectors Club has been in development for over two years. It promises to be a platform where Playmobil fans and groups can unite, share their stories, memories and interact within their own dedicated online network.

The Playmobil Collectors Club’s registered members will have access to exclusive collector-specific content, such as previews of the ranges and offers. Member benefits also include discounts, free entry to the Playmobil FunPark and Playmobil Collector’s Club merchandise. There are plans to introduce special collectors’ sets via individual countries’ online stores and guided tours of their German flagship factory.

Those who wish to join the club as registered members can visit and they will receive a special welcome gift with their unique membership card. Fully registered membership costs £8 for 12 months* and is for those aged 13 years plus. Other special features of the site include a centralised area for collectors’ events and a translation facility will allow content to be read and shared in over 65 languages.

The Playmobil Collectors Club is one of the many ways Playmobil engages and rewards its fans. It builds on the free Playmobil UK Birthday Club, which has 14,000 members who receive cards on their birthdays and at Christmas, and regular Playmobil news and special offers.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing manager for Playmobil, said: “There is a strong community of Playmobil fans across the globe of all ages and we’ve seen some incredible creations, photos, videos and stories over the years. It’s wonderful that we are now able to give back to Playmobil enthusiasts and bring them closer together with the Playmobil Collectors Club. This latest development allows those with a love for our world full of play and imagination to take it to the next level.”
