The company has teamed up with independent retailers to launch the new scheme.
The loyalty card scheme will be valid until the end of the year. Customers will receive one sticker for every £5 spent on Playmobil at participating retailers, and once six have been collected they can choose a new Playmo-Friends set to take away, free of charge.
There’s plenty of time for independent retailers to sign up to the scheme. Once the scheme is advertised and set up, retailers need to keep all the completed loyalty cards and return them to the Playmobil offices. Their account will then be credited for the relevant number of Playmo-Friend figures at their current agreed price.
Andrew Fernandes, key account and field sales manager at Playmobil, commented: “For some time, we’ve been exploring ways to reward our loyal customers and further strengthen our relationships with independent retailers, and we’re really excited to have launched the Playmo-Friends loyalty card in the run-up to Christmas. We have deliberately made the scheme as straightforward as possible to encourage people to take part, and are pleased to be able to offer the incentive of earning a free gift from one of our most popular ranges to customers who fill up a card.”
