To celebrate its 150th anniversary, London Fire Brigade has partnered with Playmobil to release a video which tells children who to call when they’re in danger.
The video, which features a specialist crew of Playmobil firefighters, shows how London Fire Brigade fights more than just house fires.
Its release launches the brigade’s 150th anniversary celebrations, as part of a partnership running into 2016 aiming to educate children about fire safety outside of the home.
The video will be used by London Firefighters and the brigade’s education team as part of its fire prevention outreach work, teaching children in foundation year classes about the people who help us.
Jamie Dickinson, marketing manager of Playmobil UK, commented: “Our rescue ranges are some of our most popular, as little ones get to be the heroes. Partnering with the London Fire Brigade, together we can help teach valuable safety lessons to our youngsters in its milestone year.”
London fire commissioner, Ron Dobson, said: “Our new recruits are doing a grand job in their very first mission for the Brigade. It’s never too early to teach people how to keep themselves safe, and this video will help us reach more children, perhaps even inspiring the next generation of firefighters.”
