Playmobil returns as headline sponsor of Gloworm Festival 2019

Published on: 19th June 2019

The family-friendly festival will take place on 17th and 18th August, and will see Playmobil bring its famous Play Days to the event.

Playmobil has confirmed it will repeat its sponsorship of the popular Gloworm Festival, which attracts more than 18,000 visitors to Thoresby Park in Nottinghamshire each summer.

The festival is established as a firm family favourite where everyone is encouraged to play, listen to music, create art and have fun. As headline sponsor, Playmobil will enjoy full-stage branding and feature costume characters on stage between acts, as well as giving young fans the chance to pose for a photo with their favourite characters.

This year, Playmobil has an even larger presence at the festival, with a large marquee, packed with displays, models, play-tables and life-size Playmobil characters. It will also be taking its brand-new Playmobil: The Movie play sets to share with guests at the festival. With the movie premiere happening shortly before Gloworm, it’s expected that there will be great excitement surrounding the film.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing and display manager at Playmobil UK, comments: “At Playmobil, we love to support events, such as Gloworm, where families are able to spend real quality time together. This will be our third time attending the festival and second year as headline sponsor. We’re currently branching out into the wider entertainment industry and helping support retailers by reaching new audiences. Gloworm is an opportunity to interact with families and allow them to experience our play sets first-hand.”
