Playmobil reveals first super-sized character

Published on: 25th February 2013

Playmobil has unveiled its first character to be taller than 7.5cm.

The Clown breaks with Playmobil tradition by hitting the height of 12cm, and is the first figure to be made to different dimensions to all other Playmobil figures. The Clown appears as part of Fi?ures Series 4, which hits shops this week.

The latest instalment in the Fi?ures collectables range introduces the character as one of 24 new faces. Girls and boys can assemble, take apart, or mix and match body parts and accessories to create their own characters.

Fi?ures is Playmobil’s most successful UK range to date. From an astronaut to a hula girl, the range provides children with a host of characters to swap, collect and play with.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing manager for Playmobil UK, said: “Whilst we pride ourselves on providing traditional, creative play for little ones, we also love to keep fans entertained with new surprises. We’re delighted to see the fourth Fi?ures range refreshingly breaking with tradition to introduce our first super-tall character. Children see people of all shapes and sizes in everyday life, and it’s fantastic that the range reflects that.”
