Pokémon announces partnership with French broadcaster M6

Published on: 4th April 2019

M6 is set to increase the availability of Pokémon animations in France, thereby reaching even more fans.

M6 has acquired the Pokémon the Series: Black & White story arc (Seasons 14–16) from The Pokémon Company’s back catalogue of animations. The first season in the story arc, Pokémon: Black & White (Season 14), launches on M6 in April at 7am, during the M6 Kid time slot. A new episode from Season 14 will air every weekday morning at 7am during April and May.

This new deal complements The Pokémon Company’s partnership with Gulli and Canal J, which brings the newest animations in the growing Pokémon portfolio to French fans, including the latest season, Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon — Ultra Adventures, which is due to premiere later this year.

Emily Arons, senior VP of international business for The Pokémon Company International, said: “The deal with M6 is testament to Pokémon’s broad appeal and provides French fans with even more Pokémon animation to enjoy.”

Pokémon is broadcast in more than 160 countries and in more than 30 languages. The series follows Ash, Pikachu, and friends, and spans more than 1,000 episodes across 22 seasons.
