Rainbow Designs will be unveiling its new Lola loves… collection at Toy Fair next week.

As master toy licensee for BBC Worldwide’s Charlie and Lola brand, Rainbow’s collection features soft toys, plus creative craft and activity toys for children aged 2-4 years. Rainbow says its emphasis is “all about Lola” and is focused on toys that little girls love to play with.

Lola loves… products include a range of dolls featuring The Best Dressed Bean Dolls, Best Bestest Friend Rag Dolls and Lola’s Favourite and Best Outfit Dolls.

New creative craft and activity toys include Paint Your Very Own Door Hanger, Lola Loves Painting Doll Set and Lola’s Most Favourite Things Dominoes Set.

Rainbow MD, Anthony Temple, said: “It is a great privilege to be working with the Charlie and Lola brand and we are extremely excited to be launching the new Lola loves… collection.

“The brand is fresh, fun and contemporary, and our new products offer variety, originality and the winning combination of traditional toys with modern day touches,” said Anthony.

Charlie and Lola began life as a series of award-winning children’s books written and illustrated by Lauren Child. To date, over five million Charlie and Lola books have sold worldwide and last year marked the 10th anniversary of the first book ‘I Will Not Ever Never Eat a Tomato’.

The Charlie and Lola books have been adapted into three animated TV series of 78 x 11 minute episodes and two x 22 minute autumn and Christmas specials, all achieving high audience ratings.

Visitors to Toy Fair next week can see the Lola loves… collection for the first time  on Stand E40.
