Any new product launches or relaunches for 2017 are eligible to be entered.
The awards team has already announced the news of the ninth Rainbow Toy Awards being open for entry and have been delighted with the response so far.
Each year, award winners and highly commended products are featured in the live online ceremony and also in various consumer publications, plus hundreds of parenting websites and blogs, just in time for the Christmas buying period.
The toys are tested by Rainbow Award accredited Toy Testers, who report back on playability, packaging, eco-friendliness, longevity and more. The awards are chosen by the children themselves, making the award logo a credible piece of marketing for any company to use on packaging, exhibition stands, adverts and any other marketing material.
Awards managing director, Peter Dawson, commented: “We enjoy seeing which toys children really love and go back to time and again. We also enjoy the fact both new companies and large established toy industry names all compete on an equal footing – we never know which toys will enter and it’s always exciting to see who wins. There are only a set number of awards up for grabs in The Rainbow Toy Awards each year and so winning an award shows your product is really loved by children.”
