Rainbow Toy Awards 2019 results announced

The results of the eleventh annual Rainbow Toy Awards were announced at a ceremony live online at www.rainbowawards.co.uk on Friday 1st November at 10.00am.

Entries for the 2019 Rainbow Toy Awards were received at the Rainbow Toy Awards HQ and each one was scrutinised by the team of toy testers. Each child tester gave their feedback to a parent or carer to report back by form. The toys were ranked from 1-10 for play value, longevity, packaging, build quality and value for money. The testers also gave their overall impression, offering a valuable comment alongside the given score.

The 2019 Overall Rainbow Toy Awards Champion is Mars Space Station by Playmobil. Other winners of the 11th annual Rainbow Toy Awards, and those highly commended, are as follows:

Outdoor Toys – Fun Zone Pop n Splash by Little Tikes (winner), Fantastic First 3 in 1 Switcharoo Table by Little Tikes (highly commended)

Educational Toys – Hue Animation Studio by Hue (winner), LeapStart Go by Leapfrog (highly commended)

Games and Puzzles – Cog Puzzle by Bigjigs Toys (winner), Dice Academy by Asmodee (highly commended)

Imaginative Play – Mars Space Station by Playmobil (winner), Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak by Wow! Stuff (highly commended)

Wheeled Toys – Playmobil the Movie: Del’s Food Truck by Playmobil (winner)

Pre-school Toys – Learn & Dance Dino by Vtech Electronics (winner), Baby Xylophone by Halilit (highly commended)

Soft Toys – New Born Baby Animigos Guinea Pig by Tobar (winner), Rainbow Llama by HGL (highly commended)

Construction Toys – Junior Engineer Monster Truck by Tobar (winner)

STEM – Kidizoom Action Cam by Vtech Electronics (winner), Number Tray by Bigjigs Toys (highly commended)

Electronic Toys – Baby Annabell Feels Better Medical Scanner by Zapf Creation (winner), YouDrive Rescue Chopper by Little Tikes (highly commended)
