He takes up his position at the Essex-based national advertising agency from 1 July with the remit to further grow the 20-year-old successful media company.

Rathbone Perception Media employs around 30 people at its Chelmsford offices and was merged with Perception Media 18 months ago.

Managing partner Martin Cole has relinquished the role of MD to focus on overseeing the running of existing client business along with fellow partners Dan Jones and Vicki Bird.

Simon, who hails from Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, has extensive experience of offering clients multi-media solutions through Turner Broadcasting Europe, which is part of Time Warner.

After spending the last 14 years spearheading the sales at Turner, Simon said: “Rathbone Perception Media reminds me very much of Turner when I joined there back in 1999. It consists of a group of hugely talented people who are hungry for both generic and new growth.

“I am excited to be stepping back into the media agency world where I originally came from. I think that by offering clients truly integrated multi-media solutions Rathbone Perception can see significant growth over the next few years from the fantastic base that it presently has.”
