Rebel Toys closes its doors

Published on: 16th December 2011

Rebel Toys will cease to handle the Maisto range of die-cast and RC car products in the UK.  The distribution deal ends on 31st December 2011 and as a result Rebel Toys will cease trading on the 22nd December.

“It’s a managed exit,” Rebel MD Paul Holland told Toy World. “It’s not a receivership and all creditors are paid up. We’re still friends with  Maisto: it was simply the right time.

“Sadly I will also be losing my great colleagues and friends Shirley Shaw, Derek Worman and Mike Craughan who have worked with me for many years helping create Rebel Toys. Their dedication and effort, especially over the last two years, have been beyond what anyone could expect.

“I would like to thank all customers for their support over the last 19 years and hope all have continued success in the years to come.”
