Aiming to rid the market of substandard puzzle copies.

With the rapidly growing demand for the high-quality brainteaser puzzles in the UK, the partnership felt it critical to rid the market of substandard copies of the extensive Meffert puzzle range. Whilst Recent Toys UK writes to UK based retailers to demand the removal of counterfeit products, Mefferts Puzzles & Games lawyers in China has issued legal papers against factories producing unlawful copies of the puzzles.

Stephen Woodman, UK director, commented: “Recent Toys has had an exclusive relationship with Uwe Meffert worldwide for many years and will take any action necessary to remove illegal copies of Meffert’s puzzles from the UK and worldwide market.”

A number of retailers have already withdrawn their stock and more retailers will be receiving letters in the coming week. Retailers who wish to stock Meffert’s puzzles should contact Recent Toys UK.
