Record-breaking Twitter event for Doc McStuffins

Flair and Disney teamed up with to create the highest deliveries reported for a Twitter party for a children’s product.Doc_McStuffins_Logo300

‘Doctober’ is a special month for Doc McStuffins and both Disney and Flair are participating in the celebrations. Activities taking place include new episodes of Doc McStuffins airing on Disney Junior, media activities on, a Doc McStuffins Mobile Clinic DVD release, new elements to the Disney Junior app and new toys from toy manufactures Flair in toy shops across the UK.

13.8m Twitter impressions reached 1.8m unique accounts between 4pm and 6pm on Thursday 2nd October 2014. Tweets using the hashtag #Doctober in celebration of the upcoming release of the GP Flair collection and a month of Doc McStuffins events from Disney.

The activity began when 15 party hosts received the latest toys from Flair and Disney including the Doc McStuffins Carry Along Clinic, Doc Walk n Talk Doll plus more toys and party extras. This helped set the theme for the social media event.

As the party began the Doctober hashtag trended immediately and stayed in pace of the UK’s top 10 trends as the sixth top trend throughout the two hours.

Kirsty MacKenzie, pre-school marketing manager, GP Flair, said: “Doc McStuffins is an incredibly popular licence with parents and it’s clear from the response that not only our hosts, but many mums at home took part. We are delighted to also hear the comments from those that took part; enthusing about the new Doc McStuffins Flair toy collection for Autumn.”
