National Account Manager

The company:

Green Board Games has been a key player in the UK Toys and Games market for over 25 years and is continuing to grow and expand with product ranges, brands and customer reach. The company owns and develops most of the products sold and there is further opportunity to work with more National Accounts and expand the company offering. The business has seen year on year growth for most of that time and there is now an opportunity for an experienced national account manager to join the small but dedicated team at the HQ in High Wycombe to take the business to the next level.

The role:

• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
• Working strategically with accounts to maintain and increase margin, turnover, volume and distribution
• New business development across all channels
• Managing customers’ expectations and working effectively with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Work in partnership with Studio and Production to drive innovative and unique product ranges

Sales & Budgeting:

• Ensure ranges are presented to customers and account are maximised to their full potential
• Develop and build the UK sales strategy looking at growth and new opportunities
• Plan and budget YoY per account and track sales
• Increase sales and margin were possible
• Build marketing plans and assign SOA and other support to our customers
• Deliver sales on plan and on budget

Forecasting & Stock:

• Work with Production to ensure product is stocked ready for intakes
• Ensure forecasts are received from customers and adequate stock is available when required
• Keep open communication both internally and externally on any issues that arise and work constructively to resolve
• Monitor old and slow moving stock and find solutions to get it moving


• Ensure all marketing materials are clearly communicated both internally and externally
• Develop marketing plans and support required throughout the year with the Marketing team
• Collaborate with the Marketing team on their strategy for the year and how this ties in with UK customers, i.e. TV tagging
• Work closely with marketing on stock offers and deals and then distribution to the relevant customers


• Look at ways of increasing listings through NPD and bespoke ranges
• Work closely with NPD, Production and Studio to ensure new designs are developed on time and on budget
• Review the UK market and what licenses are working well and how that could work for GBG
• Develop new opportunities for private label offering to new and existing customers


• Understanding of the sales process
• Ability to recognise customer requirements and meet them within expected budgets
• Excellent attention to detail
