It has developed an impressive Character portfolio focusing on Children’s Classic Literary Characters and has expanded its portfolio of licences into pre-school and movie characters.
Its brands include Paddington Bear, Peter Rabbit, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Snowman, Disney Baby, Classic Winnie the Pooh, Miffy, Peppa Pig, Thomas the Tank Engine, Guess How Much I Love You, Roald Dahl and Elmer.
It has a wide network of customers across Nursery, Toy and Gift retailers covering independent retailers through to the mass market.
As a business it is in an exciting period of growth and it now needs a new Territory Manager, to help it achieve its goals.
Southern Territory Account Manager
Reporting to: Field Sales Manager
Looking after Independents in a defined area (Kent, Sussex and Surrey) and key accounts in the South of England, including Harrods, World Duty Free, Selfridges, Fenwicks, Wyevale Garden Centres and many more.
o To service and develop identified existing accounts on identified territory including independents, Key Accounts and wholesalers
o Presentation of new products and ranges as customer call cycle requires
o Management of existing products in store, including identification of slow moving lines and management of such
o Establishment of contact frequency and method for each customer
o Planning, presentation and implementation of any promotions
o Order taking
o Merchandising if required
o Establishing a strong and trusting working relationship with customer
o Establishing customer needs and requirements and communication of those to all departments internally
o Pricing, quotes and account plans for Key Accounts
o Terms negotiation for specific accounts
o Identifying, calling and approaching new prospects accounts
o Analysing customer sales and Forecasting stock on a monthly basis and gathering forecasting information from customers.
o Attending monthly forecasting meetings
o Attending trade shows as required, making sure that appointments are made and meetings are prepared for
The ideal candidate:
o Will have experience in dealing with different retail channels and sizes of retailers
o Experience in selling Toys, Gifts, Nursery or licensed consumer products
o Will be able to manage their own time well
o Will be target driven and growth focussed
o Effective communication skills via face to face, telephone and email
o Will have the ability to analyse sales and territory
o Ability to produce sales reports
o Able to build relationships with buyers and internal staff
o Computer literate with skills in Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
o Good negotiator
o Full clean driving licence
o Team player
o Be flexible and on occasion able to work outside of defined territory
