Redakai ratings soar in Europe

TV ratings for Zodiak Kids’ and Spin Master’s Redakai have been bolstering strong toy sales in Europe since its launch in 2012.

Cecilia Persson, Vice President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions, Turner Broadcasting EMEA, comments: “We are very happy with how Redakai is performing on Cartoon Network in the UK and there is a strong level of belief and support for the property amongst our international channels.”

In the UK, the show debuted on Cartoon Network in February 2012, where viewership amongst boys increased by 24% after the first month. Redakai began broadcasting on the free-to-air channel CITV as well in April, where it sponsors the CITV weekday mornings.  The CITV sponsorship will help to raise awareness of Redakai and support the Redakai TCG, which launched in specialty toy shops over Easter, with heavy sampling, TV promotion and in-store demonstrations.
