Redan Publishing has extended its partnership with Entertainment One to launch the first digital Peppa Pig Bag-O-Fun magazine on the Apple Newsstand on December 4th, 2013.Peppa-App-Front-Cover300

Each edition will include free-hand colouring sections, character voices, story running throughout (with interactive activities along the way), and a strong educational focus. Using FutureFolio, the team at Redan has created a magazine app which follows an interactive story with related activities to complete along the way.

Julie Jones, joint managing director of Redan Publishing, said: “We wanted to deliver a publication that adds something different and special to the printed magazine, not just a simple pdf version. This was quite a challenge, knowing that children are amongst the most demanding and savvy users of tablets. The animation and activities in this app will provide Peppa fans with a new and exciting way to engage with their favourite character and we hope that each issue will keep them entertained for hours.”

Hannah Mungo, head of UK licensing at eOne, added: “Peppa Pig has proven its success on digital platforms through the outstanding sales of apps and e-books. As tablets and mobile devices become increasingly popular ways for families to consume content, the timing is perfect for Redan to launch a magazine app and we have every confidence in its success.”
