Publishing company Redan have planned for the new Girls & Co magazine to hit news-stands at all major and independent newsagents and supermarkets on the 29th February.
The company already have a girls magazine called Sparkle World and are planning to fill a gap in the market. Aimed at girls aged 7 – 10 years, Girls & Co is especially for animal lovers. The first issue will include Selena Gomez and her pet dogs and will feature 52 pages of stories, pets, a celebrity puzzle pull-out, 16 page puzzle book dedicated to the hit Nick Jnr. Show Victorious, quizzes, posters, recipes, crafts, cringes, and reviews.
Planned to be retailed at £2.99, the four-weekly title has bright pink cover, and a free gift to help make the magazine grab attention.
Robert Sutherland, MD of Redan Publishing Ltd said: “We feel that there is a gap in the upper end of the primary girls’ market for a fresh, wholesome magazine that isn’t all about celebrity gossip and fashion. Whilst Girls & Co will still cover all the latest news and reviews, we hope that with the emphasis on animals, stories and puzzle-solving, we will be offering something unique to the market.”
