The Revell Junior Kit won awards at London’s Toy Fair and Nuremberg.
It was voted the British Toy & Hobby Association’s Best New Toy in the Construction & Building Sets category for London’s Toy Fair 2016. It also won the coveted Toy Award in the Pre-School category (ages 3 – 5) at Nuremberg 2016.
With a wide range of true-to-the-original plastic model kits, from Build & Play and Easykits for beginners to sophisticated kits for professional model builders, Revell has dominated the model hobby sector for over 60 years.
Revell Junior Kit is a new concept that introduces the world of modelling to young craft makers. Designed for ages four and over, it bridges the gap between Playsets and Construction Toys. This range of detailed easy-to-assemble construction toys are as easy as child’s play. Large parts are simply connected by screws and child-friendly tools. Once completed, each robust model kit transforms into a durable fully functioning toy.
The attractive launch range of Fire Truck, Cabriolet, Racing Car, 4 x 4 Vehicle and Police Car sets new standards in pre-school construction. The combination of imaginative gameplay, whilst developing young children’s motor skills through the use of screws and screwdrivers, convinced the awards panel in both countries.
Revell GmbH returns to TV with a heavyweight marketing campaign to support the UK launch of Junior Kit. TV advertising will run for the peak selling period in the autumn, targeted at the core demographic. The TV ad campaign will be supported by a PR campaign.
