Robert Mann to ride Isle of Wight cycle challenge

Published on: 16th April 2014

The Toy Trust will ride this year’s Isle of Wight cycle challenge (7th June 2014) in support of Whizz-Kidz, a charity which provides wheelchairs and other specialist equipment for disabled children in the UK.

The charity also provides training and support services to families. You can find out more about them by clicking here.

Robert Mann said: “Last year you may remember I chopped the tops off three of my fingers and could not compete in the around Isle of Wight cycle challenge. My wife, Jan, and Martine stepped in and completed the rather hilly 130km ride in just short of 10 hours to raise money for the Toy Trust. Assuming I don’t lose any more body parts, I will be taking part in this year’s challenge along with my friend John Kerr (The Kerrmann Boys). We plan not only to complete the event but, importantly for us, beat Jan and Martine’s time in the process.”
