Rollplay and Carrera Revell to end distribution partnership

Published on: 29th July 2022

The partnership will end on 31st December, 2022, with the move being attributed to rising costs over the last few months.

After 18 months of cooperation in distribution, Carrera Revell and Rollplay have jointly decided to end their distribution partnership of Rollplay’s high-quality manual and electric children’s vehicles as of 31st December, 2022.

The move is said to be due to rising costs over the last few months, which has affected high-quality and large-volume products especially, and the corresponding rising purchasing costs for working with distributors. Rollplay will take over its own distribution starting from 1st January, 2023.

Any ongoing orders for 2022 will be handled and fulfilled by the Carrera Revell distribution team up to that point. In the future, Rollplay will take care of all FOB customers in Europe. Retailers wishing to purchase Rollplay products locally are invited to contact Rollplay GmbH directly with their orders for 2023 at Nordring 69, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany, or via phone (+49 921 78511262) or email info@rollplay.com.

Stefan Krings, CEO of Carrera Revell Group, emphasised the consistently fair and good spirit of the cooperation, as did Christian Alsbaek, general manager, Rollplay EMEA. In a statement, the companies said the mutual decision to adjust the distribution strategy would “ensure continued positive development of both companies”.

The Rollplay team based in Nuremberg offers retailers and end users after-sales services. Interested retailers can book appointments to visit its 1,700sq ft showroom and see its current range of around 20 e-vehicles for kids between the ages of 12 months and 12 years.
