This will accompany the multi award-winning series.
Lisle Licensing has announced the appointment of RP2 Global as master toy partner for Bottersnikes & Gumbles in the UK, Eire and Australia. A range of toys depicted in the multi award-winning series will include plastic and vinyl figures, feature plush and role play toys. It will launch in the UK in spring/summer 2018.
Francesca Lisle, director at Lisle Licensing said, “We are delighted to have partnered with RP2 Global. They are an innovative group of people and we are looking forward to working with them to develop a fun toy line for this fantastic brand. Bottersnikes & Gumbles lends itself perfectly to the target audience of boys 4-9 and we can’t wait to see the toy line develop over the coming months”.
Simon Cox, managing director at RP2 Global said, “After the success we achieved with bringing Oddbods to every market in EMEA in 2017, we have been looking for a second piece of TV IP to further grow our business. We are very excited about Bottersnikes & Gumbles, which has rated consistently well over a period of time on CBBC. The line that we will produce will be in the heartland of boys, which is very much backed up by the TV audience. Given the content will live in the digital space as well as on a traditional broadcast channel, enables the property to cover all kids.”
Based on the series of books by S.A. Wakefield, Bottersnikes & Gumbles follows the adventures of three Gumble heroes. The CGI animated series launched on CBBC in July 2016 and airs weekdays at 07.10 and 15.35 with brand new episodes premiering this month. Bottersnikes & Gumbles is set to debut on Netflix in the UK this summer.
A game co- produced with CBBC was also launched in October 2016. Available on desktop, tablet and mobile, Gumble Run has been featured among the top 10 games each week since its launch. A publishing deal with Hachette will see storybooks and sticker and activity books for young readers coming to the UK and Australia.
Bottersnikes & Gumbles has won a number of awards including the prestigious 2016 Pulcinella Award for Best Kids TV Series at Cartoons on the Bay, the 2016 Gold AEAF Award for Best Opening Titles and the 2016 Promax BDA Silver Award for Best Program Title Sequence. It has also been nominated for a Kidscreen Award for Best New Kids Series; results to be announced this month.
