England’s all-time leading try scorer, Sam, 24, is the current Man of Steel (awarded to the best Super League player each season) and is destined to be a star of this Autumn’s Rugby League World Cup which is being held in England and Wales.

Sam has been signed by Shock Doctor’s sole distributor in the UK, Hy-Pro International as brand ambassador for the range.

Shock Doctor pride themselves as the number one choice for fearless athletes that demand high protection and performance. The brand revolutionised the industry with their first mouthguard with the aim to rethink, retool and redefine this essential protective sporting gear. Today, Shock Doctor is the international leader in sports protection with 20 years of industry knowledge and hope to continue this impressive growth.

Atul Shah, CEO of Hy-Pro, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Sam. He is a fantastic fit for our range as he is the face of rugby league, and with the Rugby League World Cup this year we feel the timing is right. He is also considered hot property by Rugby Union clubs so this coupled with recent investment by Nigel Wray, the chairman of Saracen’s RFC, further substantiates our position within this dynamic and competitive market.”

Sam Tomkins said: “I’ve always known Shock Doctor as the ‘go to’ brand for sports protection so I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work with them and excited about spreading the word to athletes competing in all contact sports.”

“We are happy to welcome Sam Tomkins to our stellar line-up of athletes on Team Shock Doctor,” says Tony Armand, Chief Executive Officer of Shock Doctor. “Sam’s leadership and professionalism on and off the field sets him apart and makes him a role model for upcoming rugby greats.”
