Sainsbury’s has announced that it will join forces with Britain’s longest running comic, The Beano, to promote its 2015 Active Kids campaign.sainsburys_wordpress

Launched in 2005, the scheme is aimed at helping children lead healthier, more active lifestyles through the donation of equipment and experiences to schools, clubs and groups. Over £150m-worth of cookery and sporting equipment has been given to more than 50,000 organisations since the scheme launched.

Head of Active Kids Tara Hewitt said: “We are delighted to be partnering with iconic comic The Beano. The Bash Street Kids, with their cheeky attitude and mischievous behaviour, are the perfect companions to show kids the benefits of what can be achieved by collecting vouchers, eating healthily and being active, now and in the future.”
