Sambro takes on cycle challenge for The Light Fund

Published on: 2nd May 2018

A team from Sambro is about to embark on its latest charity fundraising challenge, this time in aid of The Light Fund.

Nikki Samuels, Tom Duffy and Paul Cook will cycle a total of 725 miles across Europe in two separate trials in a bid to raise £15,000 for the licensing industry charity.

The first challenge will be undertaken by Nikki from 13th – 17th May in Monaco, and will see him join a team of fundraisers travel from Monaco to Milan, not only cycling 400 miles but also climbing an impressive 10,000 metres in five days.

From 12th-15th June, Nikki will be joined by MD Tom Duffy and Paul Cook from Sambro’s UK sales team. The trio will take on 325 miles over four days with the journey spanning Bristol to Dublin.

Nikki Samuels, licensing director at Sambro commented: “The Light Fund is a brilliant charity that makes such a huge difference to many children’s lives – this is one of the biggest physical challenges we have ever undertaken but raising funds for such a great cause spurs us all on. We’ve raised over half of our ambitious target so far and we really appreciate any donation big or small to get us to our goal. We won’t even mention the fact that we have Licensing Expo in between – we’ll be paragons of virtue.”
