Variety has reported that Warner Bros is developing a new animated feature film featuring mystery solving great dane Scooby-Doo.Scooby300

Scooby-Doo, who a decade ago starred in two movies that combined live action and CGI elements, is being brought back to the big screen by Warner Bros. Screenwriter Matt Lieberman will take charge of the script, but the project otherwise appears to be at an early stage, with no director or cast yet announced.

The movie series has so far taken more than £455m at the global box office. The original Scooby-Doo cartoon TV series debuted in 1969 and has continued up until the present day. In all, more than 30 different actors have played the main four characters and Scooby-Doo himself.
