Scrabble achieves new Guinness World Record

Scrabble has successfully made a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive games played within a 24 hour period.

Scrabble-wordpressIn association with Mattel and Mind Sports International, the 24 hour Scrabble marathon was attempted by current Scrabble World Champion, Craig Beevers, and 30 other players, who went head-to-head in the challenge in celebration of National Scrabble Day.

Wendy Hill, director of brand activation, Mattel, commented: “This is a great new record for Scrabble and we are extremely grateful to everyone who took part and helped achieve it.”
