The president of Revell GmbH and the senior vice president of sales have retired.
Revell GmbH heads into its anniversary year with a new management team. Bernd Wiegmann is retiring from his role as the senior vice president of sales, and Hans Ulrich Remfert is retiring from his position as the president of Revell GmbH to make way for the new team.
Stefan Krings, formerly managing director for Germany and Austria at Giocchi Preziosi, will be taking over as president. Roger Gundel will be taking the role of senior vice president of sales, having previously held leading positions at Nintendo and Apple. Stefan Lutz will also be the new vice president for the marketing and product development departments, and has previously held the positions of director of marketing for Zapf Creation, as well as the head of marketing for the Simba Dicke Group.
2015 was successful for the company, seeing a turnover increase of 28.1%, the highest turnover in nearly 60 years of the company’s history.
Highlight products for 2016 include the BMW Isetta model kit in 1/16, the F/A-18E Super Hornet in 1/32 as well as the HMCS Snowberry in 1/144. The company will also cater to a younger audience with the Junior Kit, by means of specially developed models with screwing technology.
