A deal with Aardman has led Rainbow Designs to acquire the international brand to its licensed characters.
The new Shaun the Sheep collection will be on show for the first time at Toy Fair and is set to include a new range of soft toys, gifts and novelty products. Following close behind Rainbow’s plush collection, 2013 will see Shaun the Sheep collection bringing out new products planning to target the retro collectable and social expression market.
Anthony Temple, Rainbow Designs’ MD said: “Shaun the Sheep is an iconic international brand, which is going from strength to strength, and is the perfect addition to our prolific portfolio of licensed children’s characters. We are delighted to be working with Aardman again and to build upon our successful Wallace & Gromit relationship. Toy Fair is the perfect launch pad for our Shaun the Sheep collection and we look forward to unveiling the new products to retailers.”
Shaun the Sheep has sold over 4.6 million DVDs and a third series is planned to be release with seven 20 minute episodes airing over 2012 and 2013.
