Simon Hedge appointed as MD of GP Flair

The Giochi Preziosi Group is delighted to announce that Simon Hedge has been appointed as managing director of the Group’s UK division, GP Flair.

The promotion, which takes immediate effect, sees Hedge promoted from senior vice president sales and marketing and taking overall responsibility of the Group’s UK subsidiary. As one of the founding members of the original Cheam-based company, alongside Peter Brown and Carl Moran, the announcement has been welcomed by all members of the Flair team.

Dario Berte, Co-CEO of the Giochi Preziosi Group, commented: “I am personally delighted to confirm Simon as the managing director of GP Flair. In recent years he has shown an incredible passion for taking the company to the top six of UK toy companies and with his continued dedication we believe that our UK division will continue to move forward.”

Commenting further, Simon Hedge said: “It is with great enthusiasm that I take on this new role, especially as Flair has been an important part of my life for many years.   I am also delighted to be working alongside many of the original company members, without whom the task of growing the company still further and increasing its position in the sector would be a much more difficult challenge.”

Peter Brown, chairman of GP Flair, added: “It is with considerable pride that I have been able to accompany Simon on his journey from commercial director and founding member of Flair Leisure Products to being the managing director of GP Flair, the UK subsidiary of one of the largest toy companies in the world. I think I can speak for everyone here in wishing him every success in his new role.”
