Smart Games 30 Seconds board game launches in the UK

Published on: 28th October 2019

The 30 Seconds board game arrives in the UK just in time for Christmas, and is ideal for family gaming.

30 Seconds is the first multi-player game to join the Smart Games collection and involves quick-thinking, fast-talking and lots of fun for the whole family.

In this fast-paced general knowledge game, players have just 30 seconds to describe five names on their chosen card for their teammates to guess, all without saying the actual names or using any ‘sounds like’ or rhyming tactics.

The aim of 30 Seconds is to correctly identify as many of the five names a teammate describes from their chosen card, before the timer runs out. Teams advance through the board by moving forward the number of spaces as guessed correctly. The winning team is the first to reach the finish square.

30 Seconds involves British icons and includes everything from familiar places, famous people, iconic films, popular books, loved brands, celebrated fictional characters, renowned sporting events, and much more. 30 Seconds can be played by a minimum of four players with two in each team. Each game contains a game board, dice, timer, four playing tokens, and 240 cards with 2,400 names in total.

Karen Clarke, brand director for Smart Toys and Games said: “It’s easy to see how 30 Seconds has become a best selling game around the world. It’s fiercely entertaining and such fun and we are delighted to welcome such a compelling game into our Smart Games collection. It’s a great way for the whole family, or groups of friends, to have a good laugh together, over and over again, whilst developing a range of key cognitive skills including speed and concentration.”

30 Seconds is ideal for any group, party or family, big or small. It is priced at RRP £29.99 and suitable for players aged 12 and above.
