Smart Toys and Games to distribute new Go Genius collection for Whiz Kid Games

Published on: 15th July 2021

The Go Genius games have been created to support children with schoolwork across different curriculum subjects, backed by downloadable learning aids.

Smart Toys and Games has signed an exclusive agreement with Whiz Kid Games to launch its brand new Go Genius collection this autumn.

The educational award-winning games, which will be distributed across the UK and Ireland by Smart Toys and Games from August, combine fun and learning and have been created for children aged seven plus to support key stage 1 and 2 schoolwork.

The collection launches with a trio of games, Go Genius Maths, English, and World, and will continue to grow in 2022 with another three titles: Science, History and Football.

Playing Go Genius, participants race to the finishing line by answering multiple choice questions on curriculum subjects, all while trying to avoid the spaces that tell them to miss a go, move backwards or to do a forfeit. The ultimate aim however is to win points in order to earn a genius stamp to put in the Go Genius passport. Stamps are provided, as well as passports for children to personalise with a photo or drawing.

The games work seamlessly together, as players can collect genius stamps from across the range and each game is supported by the brand’s downloadable learning aids, so the fun and learning possibilities are endless.

With sustainability at its heart, all of the wood and paper components from the board games are FSC-certified, and all materials are 100% recyclable.

Commenting on the new partnership, Karen Clarke, UK brand director at Smart Toys and Games said: “Whiz Kid Games has struck the perfect balance between fun and learning with its Go Genius range and successfully created games that engage and educate young minds, while promising hours of entertainment. The ethical credentials, educational qualities and play value of the award-winning collection stood out to us and we’re thrilled to be working exclusively with Whiz Kid Games to bring Go Genius to the UK & Ireland.”

“Smart Toys & Games shares my passion for learning through play and the team has a strong grasp on this market. They were the natural partner to help put Go Genius in front of consumers,” added Heather Watherston, Founder of Whiz Kid Games and creator of Go Genius.
