Smyths Toys opens in Inverness

Smyths Toys Superstores has announced that it will be opening a new store in mid-October. smyths300

Smyths will take over the former Dreams furniture and bedding store at the Rose Street Retail Park as well as an additional unit next door. This will create a store with a trading area of approximately 20,000 sq ft.

The toy retailer expects to create more than 30 jobs in the area which will range from retail assistants to management positions, with further job creation expected as Christmas nears.

Dryden Geary, marketing manager, said: “We look forward to offering the people here the best possible selection and quality of products, all delivered with exceptional service. Opening a new store in the area also allows to us to offer some fantastic employment opportunities to people in the local community.”

Smyths Toys Superstores currently trades from over 70 stores throughout the UK and Ireland and expects to open a further seven or eight new stores in the next 12 months.
Smyths says it stocks all the top toy brands and the new store will officially open on October 11.
