Spielwarenmesse permanent stand contracts extended until 2023

Showpiece area currently occupied by 27 companies, many of whom have been there from the start.

As the 70th anniversary of the show approaches, the contracts for permanent exhibitors in Hall 12.2 have been extended by another five years. In taking this step, the organiser Spielwarenmesse eG is sending out an important message, securing the future of the event at this venue. Exhibitors at the permanent stands have reciprocated by placing their trust in the trade fair well into the future.

The coveted spaces are located on the upper floor of NCC West and are used as showrooms or for special events all year round – and, of course, for the Spielwarenmesse. Existing contracts have been extended until 30th June 2023. The 13,700 m² exhibition area is currently occupied by 27 companies, two thirds of whom have been there since the area was opened. Rubie’s Masquerade is the most recent addition, moving into Hall 12.2 on 1st July.

The permanent stands have been a showpiece at the Spielwarenmesse for the past 20 years. The innovative concept celebrated its debut in 1998 in the then newly built west wing of the exhibition centre. In 2012, the hall was completely refurbished in a project that lasted six months. Its modern appearance, with two long promenades and generous use of glass, appeals to domestic and international exhibitors wanting to present their products and innovations in a unique setting. The individually designed spaces give them the opportunity to hold meetings and business talks in a quiet environment during the hustle and bustle of the fair.

Ernst Kick, CEO of Spielwarenmesse eG, commented: “We’re delighted that the renowned permanent exhibitors in Hall 12.2 have confirmed their trust in the Spielwarenmesse by extending their contracts. This enables us to move forward together and to shape the future in collaboration with all our exhibitors.”
