Spin Master celebrate Go Skateboarding Day

To celebrate the annual Go Skateboarding Day 2012 on the 21st June (today), Spin Master/Tech Deck has planted signed, rare Tony Hawk skateboards, and bundles of Tech Deck goodies, at strategic places across the globe.

A social media campaign kicks off across the world to promote the ‘Treasure Hunt’, which will happen in the US, Brazil, Canada, England, Philippines, Australia and Mexico, where clues will be given to the secret whereabouts of the highly-prized boards will be posted on the Techdeckboards Facebook page. The first to find it, gets to keep the highly sought after prize!

Go Skateboarding Day is held on June 21 every year and is the official celebration of skateboarding and the GSD gets bigger every year. The event began June 21, 2003 in southern California, as an opportunity for skateboarders to make show their support for skateboarding and celebrate the pure exhilaration, creativity and spirit of one of the most influential activities in the world.
