Spin Master celebrates with Air Hogs and Zoobles

Published on: 23rd January 2012

Full year NPD EPoS data has Spin Maste’s Air Hogs brand as the number one RC toy property for the third year running.

Spin Master says growth of 38% in 2011 was largely driven by second year sales of Vectron Wave, which won Innovative Toy of the Year at the Toy Retailer Awards last year.  Vectron Wave was the best selling RC toy again in 2011 with just over £2 million in sales.

The company says 2012 will see continued growth for the brand with the introduction of  “wow” products supported by heavyweight TV campaigns from launch.

For girls, full year NPD data (NPD EPoS Jan-Dec 201) shows that Zoobles was the top new girls property in 2011.

Spin Master says the brand “ had a fantastic year after trade and consumers fell in love with the magical little creatures”.

“The introduction of Mama & Zooblings, larger scale Mummy Zoobles with baby Zooblings, was an instant hit in summer 2011,” says Spin Master marketing director, Phil Hooper. “Innovation is key to the brand and we have a fantastic new line to show in the coming weeks.”

New surprises this year include Linkable Happitats, which allow multiple Zoobles to dance and spin together. Girls can dress up their Zoobles with new Deluxe Dressoobles, or personalise their own Zooble with Dazzle-Doo – the largest Zooble ever.

Spin Master is on Stand E131 at London Toy Fair.
