Spin Master’s Tech Deck sponsors skateboard championships

Published on: 27th April 2023

Tech Deck offers a range of fingerboards, ramps and playsets that provides sketeboarding fans with a unique outlet to practise their skills.

Fingerboarding brand Tech Deck was one of the official sponsors of the 2023 Skateboard GB National Park Championships held at XC Park in Hemel Hempstead. Owned by Spin Master, Tech Deck is the global leader in fingerboarding, creating working replicas of skateboards that enthusiasts ‘ride’ by mastering tricks and manoeuvres with their fingers.

This year’s competition saw some of the world’s best skateboarders come together, including current Skateboard GB National Team members; Lilly Strachan and George O’Neill, and Great Britain’s only skateboarder to win gold at an X-Games event; Sam Beckett. Tay Cunningham picked up the top prize in the men’s event and Lilly Strachan did the same in the women’s event.

This is the fifth year that Tech Deck has sponsored the event, demonstrating the brand’s continued support for the skateboarding community in the UK, which continues to grow in size following Team GB’s success at the recent Olympic Games in Tokyo.

“Tech Deck shares a passion for and commitment to growing and celebrating the sport and culture of skateboarding,” said Richard Dickson, general manager Spin Master UK & ROI. “Tech Deck offers a range of expertly designed fingerboards, ramps and playsets that provide kids and adult fans with a unique skateboarding outlet to practise their skills. We are pleased to be sponsoring the Skateboard GB National Championships, bringing the fun and excitement of the competition home.”

Widely recognised in the skateboarding community, Tech Deck has developed a loyal following of skilled fingerboarders, collectors and kids, and will now be a fan-favourite at the Skateboard GB National Championships.

Tom Adams, head of Commercial Partnerships. added: “Spin Master has supported the Skateboard GB National Championships for the last four years, and we are delighted to be working with the company again for 2023’s Park competition. Tech Deck is such an iconic brand and is synonymous with skateboarding. From early conversations, it was clear Spin Master recognised the value of aligning the brand to the National Championships, as the reach and profile of the competitions continue to grow, and the broadcasts are so widely watched. We are very thankful for the support and look forward to another successful competition with Tech Deck branding featuring in key locations.”
