Based on the BBC One TV series which quickly became a global phenomenon, the official Traitors Board Game has been showcased at London Toy Fair.

Two of the stars of the show; Winning ‘Faithful’ Hannah Byczkowski and ‘Traitor’ Wilfred Webster appeared at the Toy Fair to announce the launch of the new board game created by Identity Games and distributed in the UK by Vivid Goliath.

The board game allows players to fully immerse themselves in The Traitors experience; using their wits to unmask the traitor or remain undetected as the traitor whilst competing alongside the faithfuls to win the prize pot.

“We can’t wait to recreate the TV series sensation at home when the game launches into stores in September this year,” said Emma Weber, marketing and licensing director, Vivid Goliath.

Originally created by Dutch producer IDTV, and distributed and represented by All3Media International the new psychological reality show format has been an international ratings and critical hit, licensed in multiple territories including the UK, US, France, Spain and Australia.

In the UK, the BBC version was streamed over 28m times on BBC iPlayer over the festive period and quickly became one of the channel’s top rated shows. The BBC has since acquired The Traitors US from NBC Universal, which recently launched on three BBC Platforms- BBC iPlayer BBC One and BBC Three, to widespread acclaim.

The Traitors is available to download on BBC iPlayer.
