Story House Egmont launches Paw Patrol Extra

Published on: 30th July 2021

The first issue focuses on fan-favourite firefighter pup Marshall, and comes with four free gifts.

Story House Egmont has announced the launch of its newest pre-school magazine, Paw Patrol Extra. This new monthly magazine has been designed to satisfy the ongoing demand for Paw Patrol content, making it ideal for Paw Patrol fans looking to spend even more time with their favourite pups.

Story House Egmont also publishes the successful Paw Patrol flagship magazine. After five years, there is still a high level of demand for the UK’s No. 1 pre-school magazine. In 2020, a challenging year for the market, Paw Patrol magazine sold 880,000 copies and delivered £4m in RSV. Out of a 17-issue publishing schedule, 2020 saw just three issues sell over 63,000 copies and generate close to £1m in RSV, demonstrating the enduring appetite for Paw Patrol content.

Paw Patrol Extra is being pitched as ‘the perfect complementary purchase’ for Paw Patrol fans, focusing on specific characters, themes and seasonality, and creating new and captivating content. The high-quality branded covermounts are closely linked with the editorial and will reflect important core themes from Paw Patrol TV episodes including empathy and friendship.

The first issue focuses on Marshall, the fan-favourite firefighter pup. As well as stories, stickers, games and posters, issue No.1 is accompanied by four Marshall-themed gifts.

Kiran Vara, publisher of Paw Patrol Extra magazine, said: “‘We’re thrilled to be celebrating the launch of Paw Patrol Extra magazine. In such a highly competitive market, the sustained growth and popularity of the flagship magazine is a testament to the strength of this incredible evergreen brand.”
