Strong turnout for 18th Preshow Noël

Published on: 15th December 2022

A host of high-profile attendees visited this year’s successful Preshow Noël Toys & Games in Deauville, France.

The European toys & games event is an early preview of 2023 Christmas collections, which the organisers say offers one of the best opportunities to preview trends, view confidential samples, new products, hero lines and must-haves for the Christmas 2023 Christmas season. At the event, collections are showcased by appointment in private showrooms over a period of five days.

The organisers were delighted with this year’s show, now on its 18th edition, and say Preshow Noel Toys & Games has once again confirmed its role as a leading event for toys & games industry professionals to meet, preview new products and develop their business.

This edition, which took place from 21-25th November in Deauville, France, welcomed 1,400 participants including 412 buyers from 131 retail chains (of which 44 were international) and 130 exhibitors.

Among the 130 manufacturers at the Preshow, five came from the UK: Funko, Moose Toys, Just Play, United Wheels and Yoto.

Preshow Noël Toys & Games also cemented its international focus with almost 90 international buyers (a +13% increase compared to 2021) who represented 44 retails chains and distributors, from 17 different countries including Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Moldova, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Mexico, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine and UK.

The event has become a must-attend European toys & games event. This 18th edition was rich in exchanges, meetings and new contacts as buyers were able preview 2023 Christmas ranges and make an early start on their selection process.

30 industry leaders (according to the NPD Top 50 manufacturers’ ranking) participated, including Asmodee, Clementoni, Juratoys, Boti, Funko, IMC Toys, Schleich, Jazwares, Moose Toys, Tomy, Canal Toys, MGA, Chicco, Zuru and Theo Klein.

Many other internationally renowned manufacturers were also in attendance, including Cartamundi, Carrera-Revell, Geomag, i-dance, Lisciani, Magic Box, Rubies, Siku and Toynamics.

Preshow Noël Toys & Games was also an opportunity for Licensing partners to represent their brands along with the magic of Christmas by decorating, sponsoring, animating and offering unique activations. These included France TV distribution with Bluey, Gulli + Super RTL Licensing, Moonbug/CoComelon, Dino Ranch and Petronix, Paramount Consumer Products France, Sanrio, TF1 Licensing, The Walt Disney Company France, Universal Consumer Products and Warner Bros Discovery.
