Retailer becomes one of the first ever to have its own app-based shopping channel, Studio Live, where users can make purchases direct from live streams.
Studio.co.uk has launched Studio Live, one of the first ever in-app, live video streaming shopping channels, where shoppers can buy directly from live video. Studio Live promises complete interaction between shoppers and presenters and went live with a trial launch on Tuesday 16th November.
The online retailer says Studio Live benefits from the flexibility of presenters being able to showcase products, answer questions, and interact with the consumer in real-time, offering a fully digital immersive experience. Questions from shoppers will be fed straight to the stream moderator, who will either post the question to the stream or put it directly to the presenter. With the first stream set to be this year’s top Christmas toys, consumers will have the opportunity to experience this exciting experience first-hand in the lead up to Christmas.
In the UK, online sales were responsible for 30.2% of overall retail spending in 2021. Studio Live has been created to further cement the brand’s commitment to enhancing the digital experience for shoppers; the Studio app currently accounts for 30% of online sales, with over 1.2m users and growing since its launch in 2019.
